I spend a lot of time thinking about journalism’s diversity problem and the ways in which it impacts both employees and the communities we serve. I’ve thought about this even more than usual recently as the news industry and the media broadly, like so much of the United States, have begun a racial reckoning since George Floyd’s death in late May.
