There still tends to be this false narrative that people are apathetic, that Black voters are apathetic, when, in fact, they've been the preservers of democracy for as long as we’ve had the right to cast a ballot — which we had to fight, organize, and mobilize for; we were not just given it. Voting has never historically been our answer.
