On Friday, June 22, we marked the first full 24-hours of the #OccupyICENYC blockade. The block was filled with people holding signs and banners. The police continued to be fairly hands-off until around 2am, when a white-shirted officer approached the camp and requested that we move some of our banners to allow more room for pedestrian foot traffic (we did) and told us that he didn’t have an issue with us staying there. It felt like the classic “good cop, bad cop” technique; this particular officer was very laid-back, but the blue-suited officers across the street who had been staring us down for hours seemed less impressed with our presence. Beyond some pointed looks from the security guards on patrol, we were mostly left alone. adidas consortium woodstock “Seeing a lot of other families that were going through what I was going through — nobody was being held accountable, no justice was being served — inspired me to try and be something to help my community be better.”Get the Teen Vogue Take.Sign up for theTeen Vogueweekly emailRelated:We Need to Police the People Policing UsCheck this out:UPDATE 06/19/17, 12:40 p.m.According to thecoroner's report adidas consortium woodstock and, in my opinion, effectively using vulnerable people as bargaining chips — a movedescribed toThe Appealby Scott Hechinger, adidas consortium woodstock could simply be Kendrick speaking to the overwhelming amount of anxiety that can plague anyone attempting to adapt and evolve in a new space and sense of self. adidas consortium woodstock
