It’s been interesting because I had a lot of people see me drop music and they’re like “Oh! we didn’t know you sing!” even though prior to the activism that’s what I was doing before — I was performing, dancing and singing. So it’s been kind of like a nice surprise for everyone and for me a little difficulty because I’m trying to really steer into the artist lane. I’ve been doing that for a long time but, having all that success with all the activism and community organizing I really like went down that path hardcore for a good year-and-a-half, so to kind of redirect it, it’s been challenging.
