On Friday, June 22, we marked the first full 24-hours of the #OccupyICENYC blockade. The block was filled with people holding signs and banners. The police continued to be fairly hands-off until around 2am, when a white-shirted officer approached the camp and requested that we move some of our banners to allow more room for pedestrian foot traffic (we did) and told us that he didn’t have an issue with us staying there. It felt like the classic “good cop, bad cop” technique; this particular officer was very laid-back, but the blue-suited officers across the street who had been staring us down for hours seemed less impressed with our presence. Beyond some pointed looks from the security guards on patrol, we were mostly left alone. adidas joggers womens grey If Harry had grown up with Sirius, he would've turned out a whole lot different. Kat’s evolution is not this perfect thing, because people aren't perfect—that's not a story that makes you feel good, like, "The fat girl got the boy." Things are complicated and are not just rooted in her body. Sometimes, when someone who's different starts making mistakes, it's even more zoomed-in on because people aren't comfortable with that. They just want that person to be the funny girl who's sweet, kind, or quiet. I like that it gives a very different story to figuring out your sexuality while being insecure and dealing with the distress and lack of respect she gets from people around her. adidas joggers womens grey
