I had watched so many coming out videos when I was struggling with my own sexuality and figuring out who I was as a person. So once I built up my platform on social media and I was out to my family for two years, I was comfortable enough and realized I could make that same difference for someone else. I think one of the coolest things about music is you can hear a song that an artist wrote about a bad breakup and you can hear a single lyric or hear the song and be like, “This is exactly what I’m going through right now," even though the song was written by a person who you’ve never met before.
