I remember my mom being very confused why I was moving to New York with a suitcase full of women’s clothes and I’ve shared about it before but I have a history with addiction and it's pretty clear to me that that interacted with my denial around my trans identity. And the more help I got around that and more time I was able to put together away from that stuff, the clearer it became. botas de serpiente mujer I can definitely see there was a long, long period of ebbing and flowing of sort-of having a year or two years or six months where I started to be like "Alright I think what' going on with me is that I’m a woman" and then once that started to get a little more real being like "I can’t deal with this. I'm going to get involved in some messy thing do I don’t have to do it." But it was definitely a search. For most of my life, it was "something’s wrong, something’s not fitting here. I feel more comfortable identifying as female, I’m not sure if those are the same thing" and then at a certain time the pain got so bad and the healing reached a certain point, that it became obvious to me in a clearer way and that was about a year ago. It began to take a definition that it hadn’t had before.
