Ivie Ani, a culture writer and on-air reporter, has been one of many reporters to speak about toxic work environments in the media industry. In June, the former Okayplayer music editor tweeted about being overworked, underpaid, not receiving basic work equipment such as a laptop, and sometimes receiving paychecks late.
