Senator Kamala Harris refused to let Attorney General Jeff Sessions off the hook when he testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and it didn't take long at all for pundits to offer sexist takes.A moment fromAnderson Cooper 360perfectly illustrates this, with Donald Trump'sformer campaign spokesman Jason Millersaying that Senator Harris was"hysterical." survetement lacoste vintage ), and it’s important to gain the skill to maintain our own groups; but it’s also good to remember that outsiders offer fresh perspective, and make it possible for group leaders to fully participate and be part of the mess instead of having to hold the space. survetement lacoste vintage seems even whackier. What if it goes wrong? What if we can’t read each other’s social cues? What if the wifi cuts out?! It can feel reasonable to hold off, to defer for some later date when we feel better positioned. That is a mistake. Tensions that aren’t faced consciously and intentionally tend to fester and gain more and more power until they come out anyway, often in a way that’s harder to hold constructively. When we pretend conflict doesn’t exist, it creates a culture of not really telling the truth in general; groups that aren’t real about the tensions they face tend to be late to more of their meetings, miss more of their deadlines, break their word with their partners more often, because in general they have silently agreed that what they say is not always what they mean. They also tend to be bad strategists, because,as I’ve written survetement lacoste vintage "The policing of immigrants in general, and Latinxs in particular, was and is a normalized part of growing up in Southern California. I remember being confused as a child. Why were these checkpoints necessary so far from the actual border? Now I realize that part of the function was to create a sense of fear and danger for Latinxs, people of color, and immigrants." survetement lacoste vintage
