This is probably going to sound really narcissistic, but I sort of wrote the book for the person I was two or three years ago. I'm a liberal American, I'm relatively well off, and thought that we should be thinking about climate change. I heard a lot about sea-level rise and basically thought that if I lived off the coast, everything would be OK.
