was uniquely good at, and also something we hadnât done in an audio form before. We had a podcast a few years ago, but it was more interviews and bite-size versions of segments like âLife Skills,â or another advice column we had called âAsk a Grown.â I like the intimacy of having people read this kind of work. In terms of editing the episodes and trying to stay away from platitudes, that is whatâs so wonderful about longform writing, you know? Instagram kind of invites reductive thinking, because it rewards content that is sound-bite-y and slogan-y and visual. I mean itâs a visual medium. So I feel like the way around that was â not that platitudes canât have some truth to them, the way cliches can â I didnât have to worry about this because everyoneâs writing was so detailed and nuanced to begin with. With editing any kind of writing, there are certain parts you need people to unpack or be more specific about. But I think the humanness of a person reading their own work, four minutes at a time, allowed for us to be very intentional and consider things from all angles and try to anticipate possible questions a listener could have to the best of our abilities. And naturally you end up with something that is more in-depth. robe cher The story arc of the character, Cyrus Goodman, will be the Disney Channelâs first coming out story for any of their television shows and the announcement has been received, for the most part, with a super enthusiastic response. robe cher an unnamed casting director once gave sociologist Nancy Wang Yuen this reason for why Asian-Americans are so egregiously underrepresented: robe cher Season 1; Episode 8 — “And Salt the Earth Behind You”Courtesy HBO robe cher
