Amnesty has been apart of my life since my freshman year of high school, a club I accidentally joined as a confused 9th grader. But it has become so much more than that. It is important to me because it showed how essential activism is to our lives and the people we fight for. It also showed me that how powerful individuals can be when they come together to fight for a good cause. Not only this but Amnesty has fought for so many communities and individuals who were silenced for their skin color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or simply because they could be taken advantage of. It showed me that although the world is full of cruel people, there are good people who have to fight the injustice and I decided that I needed to be one of those good people.SZ: broderie veste en jean There definitely has been improvement in the fashion industry in bringing on more diverse models, but there still is a long way for us to go as an industry to be considered truly diverse. Runways are still predominately white, with the exception of a few high-profile fashion shows.
