Founded in March by two of my close writer friends, this project encourages students across the country to share their stories and come together, no matter how hard COVID-19 tries to drive us apart. The project is inspired by the infamous novellas by Giovanni Boccaccio, which recount the stories that a group of young Florentines shared to pass the time while sheltering outside the city during the Black Death in the 14th century. The website, decameronproject.org, is a platform that collects and displays the short fiction (under 1,500 words) ofall manteau chez c&a has received over the years: that she should play in the men's draw, that she takes performance-enhancing drugs.
