What's something that surprised you about the awards show? Here's hoping there's no bad blood within the crew. We're not sure our hearts can take it...especially since they still owe us that duet of "What Do You Mean." I think that being able to see a movie like this when I was younger would've sent me into adolescence ... knowing that my thoughts and feelings were justified and valid. I think, most of the time, we see these beautiful portraits of male coming-of-age films that justify that experience and teach adolescent boys that this period of their lives is one full of so much joy, pain, questioning, and discovery. But we hardly ever see those same stories told about girls, in a narrative format or otherwise. This movie could help push the ... popular mindset to a place where girl's "teenagedom" doesn't feel stupid or pointless, but instead something worthy of talking about – and celebrating!Sage: by including a clip of the actress talking about living next door to her mother.
