It took more than a year for my DACA to be processed and approved. I finally received my employment authorization card this July at age 19. Before this, I struggled with paying for college textbooks and all my other expenses. Since I couldn’t work legally, the only other option would’ve been to work in agriculture but I couldn’t work in that and be a full time student. Thankfully, I had the financial support of my family. This month, with DACA, I got my first official job. I was excited, even as news began to circulate that Trump was considering ending DACA.On Tuesday, September 5, the Trump administrationannounced it would cancel DACA and like the word “no” is just an echo in the universe that you'll never know. you often take her for granted, but you know with every joint in your bones that she is a phenomenon and you strive to make her proud. you should thank her out loud more, too; tell her you value her. roll your eyes and your neck less. it’s not as cute as you think. tell her you appreciate all that she does, for she makes the impossible look effortless. she surrounds you with other black women who do the same. you study them, and will constantly think of all their stories, theirbeauty and we will continue to be flexible as conditions require, it has not changed our belief in the power of this film and its message of hope and perseverance. Director Niki Caro and our cast and crew have created a beautiful, epic, and moving film that is everything the cinematic experience should be, and thatâs where we believe it belongs â on the world stage and the big screen for audiences around the globe to enjoy together.âAs noted byThe VergeDisneyâs announcement comes on the heels ofWarner Bros.â planto delay the release of Christopher NolanâsTenetfrom July 31 to August 12. Season 3's breakout star is acting newcomer Dua Saleh as the relaxed, cool Cal. The character is from Minneapolis, and upon arriving at Moordale, they quickly connect with Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling), who desperately needs someone to tell him to give himself a break. Cal doesn't have everything about themselves or their nonbinary identity figured out, but they have a quiet confidence that plays well with Jackson's more high-strung personality; their scenes together are some of the most compelling this season.
