“Even in auditions, 99% of the scripts you get will have something in it that will say 'I'm black,’” he says. “And the roles that come out for black people are usually something very specific to being black. At some point, I say, ‘Well I'm black’ and I imagine the audience going, ‘Oh! I was wondering!’ Like, why? Why? And then it usually pushes it even further with saying something very stereotypical about what I eat or what I like.” which hits Netflix on September 7 and takes a much darker tone than the dreamy, escapistTo All the Boys Lastly, how would you describe the House of Harlow girl? I'm hugely inspired by the '60s and '70s. I love the freedom of that time and so I think the store represents that and has that vibe. You'll see a lot of natural wood throughout the store mixed with oxidized mixed metals, which is something I've been incorporating into the jewelry and the bags and clutches as well.Where do you find inspiration?
