Throughout the episode there are seeds of Moose and Kevin discord being sown, which I’m mentioning here because it’ll also be something to keep an eye on. It starts with Kevin kissing Moose in the RHS hallway and being pushed away because Moose’s dad is down the hall talking to Principal Weatherbee. Turns out Moose’s dad is the new RROTC instructor, so he and Kevin will have to keep their distance at school when his dad is around. After Cadet Moose later blows Kev off to hang with his RROTC crew, Kevin decides to join up — and Mr. Mason is happy to have him, because he and Kevin’s dad were in RROTC together back in the day. Moose looks…ambivalent. Why can’t these two just have a happy plot line, please? The level of detail in Disney movies is nothing short of mind-blowing.
