where there were fairies who lived above this cupboard. We didn't have wifi that summer, so I just wrote and created a bunch of stories. I would draw maps of towns I envisioned and places I wanted to set a movie in. I made comics with my friend. I loved storytelling so much. It was an escape too. Storytelling is where I could explore my identity, explore the world… It was magic. Three seasons in and her character — that was once a running joke of desperation — has cemented herself as an integral part of the South Central Los Angeles crew. In season 3, her character continues to assist her friend’s in getting out of trouble at the hands of gang leader Cuchillo .... but also falls in love. They just set all of us back like 100 years to where it's like we're Asian-American artists really just trying to be taken seriously in this country, and then we have acts that come and completely shatter all the work that we've done to prove that we respect the foundations of hip-hop, and that we're trying to be a part of it. But it's not K-pop, it K-trap. I have nothing against K-pop.TV: I am a student organizer in Los Angeles. I am the oldest child of three, and I fight to keep public education in existence and to make black lives matter in schools. I do it for my two younger sisters, Aleyah and Sanaa, and for all of the black, brown, and Muslim students in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) because I believe they deserve the best public school education, no matter their family’s income, their test scores, or the color of their skin.
