The county and the city have made addressing the needs of young people and families who are actively experiencing homelessness a priority. But the problem is that street homelessness, like living in a tent, or even living in a car to a lesser degree, are only the most visible ways in which people experience homelessness and housing insecurity. Often, it looks really different and wouldnât even be considered âhomelessness.â If a young person is homeless, often what theyâre doing is living with a cousin or with a friend, or theyâre couch-surfing and trying to find a place where they can live long-term. It can mean spending some nights in a car and some nights in a shelter and some nights in a home. It doesnât look like a family living in a tent. That kind of homelessness is incredibly widespread, but itâs invisible. Understandably, students took to TikTok to ride it out. One TikTok showed Tulane studentsevacuating on Saturday before the storm;another turned 19 on Thursday, and she had a fun-packed day. First, she went out to lunch with her mom at The Ivy in LA,The Daily Mailreports No one wants to be scolding people on a holiday that is about spookiness and candy. We 100% wouldn't have to be doing this if Hilary just kept it simple and dressed as Britney Spears from the "Oops!" video, or a butterfly, or bunch of grapes, or I don't know, pretty much anything else! OK, the non-problematic options are infinite.
