We talked about our love for the city of Providence, where we’d both been born and raised, and both chose to make our home after spending time in other places. I was captivated and drawn in by the young womxn sitting across from me as she spoke with effervescence about her past as a former intern with the city of Providence, her work as a student organizer at the University of Madison Wisconsin, and her future political aspirations to serve her Providence community and fight with fierce passion for a city she loved.
