In retrospect, it seems obvious that two such strong and independent girls would be BFFs, but, unfortunately, that wasn’t initially the case. When the skateboarding, arcade-loving Max Mayfield first rolled into Hawkins at the start of season two, Eleven was still hiding out in Hopper’s cabin, presumed dead by everyone except Mike. Eleven’s introduction to Max comes when she spies Max on her skateboard, chatting with Mike in the school gym. Once El realizes that Mike is talking to another girl, her demeanor shifts. The loving glow from seeing Mike is replaced by burning jealousy that she expresses by using her powers to pull Max’s skateboard out from under her, causing her to fall. This animosity continues through El and Max’s first official meeting at the end of the season when Max goes in for a handshake, but El coldly dismisses her.I loveStranger Things adidas dragon beige “I really had to convey what a big deal that was — being a social media influencer for a really great issue,” she says. “And I think they started to get how cool and important that was, that such a young, dynamic, committed Democrat would step up to the plate.” adidas dragon beige every day has felt like a sprint through the trees.
