A man goes running through the woods in his underwear to evade the police. Another in the frozen north is targeted and like, he's already freezing his butt off, you can't leave him alone? A teenager (Robbie Kay) and his mom are waiting in the car line at the border, realize authorities are checking everyone's papers, and mom has to create two major fender benders to escape. (Canada, we learn, is a place of salvation.) The news keeps blaming a man named Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) for the event that happened at the plant in Texas. An army veteran (Carlos Gutierrez, played by Ryan) in Los Angeles gives a rousing speech to a group of school kids â and reminds them that even though they might not have special powers, they can still be heroes â but you can tell he doesn't really believe what he's saying. A video game superfan in Tokyo (Ren Shimosawa, played by Toru Uchikado) comes knocking on a woman (Miko Otomo, played by Kiki Sukezane)'s door because he thinks she's the inspiration forEvernow, adidas basketball kids Tommy just aced his interview â which was admittedly the easiest interview of all time because Emily asked him if he could scoop ice cream and he got the job. This moment of celebration is only made trickier by the fact that Luke shows up at the ice cream parlor. Not knowing any better, Tommy sits down with his supposed ally and tries to talk to him about it â only to realize it's a trap too late â maybe Joanne's gun tipped him off? Emily follows the trio because she's a smart girl and knows something is up. Joanne threatens to kill her, because a witness would really make things messy, but before she can do it, Tommy sends her and Noah to... somewhere. They vanish. This is Tommy's power. (So much for interviews being easy.) He takes off, embarrassed that she's seen his secret. We find out that he has zero clue about how his power works, and that he sends people and things to parts unknown whenever it's activated. This is potentially dangerous because they could wind up anywhere. Emily promises to keep it to herself, though, and they have a tender moment. Ah, young love! If only it weren't for Brad...GIF: Courtesy of NBC adidas basketball kids
