Reforming CDA hasn’t been all smooth sailing. College Democrats of Indiana president Alessia Modjarrad believes the issues in CDA run deep because it draws from an already elite group of young people with the resources to attend college. She also believes that the unpaid work that comes with CDA makes it inaccessible to others. “I spend, like, 10 to 20 hours a week or more on College Dems-related items," she says. So with that, I try to be the same way with everybody, with people online, with people who support me, bands, whatever else.
