It's not because I don't like doing what I'm doing. It's because I know that it's not going anywhere. It just hangs on somebody's wall for nothing or goes into a big storage room, and it's not touching people that it can inspire. In a lot of ways, my artwork enabled me to teach and be with the folks that inspire you most, which are people who are always learning, always wanting to do more. Whereas when somebody buys a piece of art from you, it's like they're trying to buy you. I'm just like not cool with people buying me.
