was a Native Hawaiian suffragist. She was born in 1861 in Lihue, Kauai, in the Kingdom of Hawai’i. Her mother was Mary Kaumana Pilahiulani, a Native Hawaiian, and her father was a German immigrant, Hermann A. Widemann. He served as a cabinet minister for Queen Lili’uokalani, so Wilhelmina was part of the Hawaiian Royal family. She wed Jack Dowsett in 1888.
