#WeKnowWhatYouDid shatters the expectations and ideas of perfection placed upon marginalized communities. It defies the coercion of survivors to not speak up by some in the administration, faculty, or students who are in favor of protecting the image of our beloved institutions. The creation of the #WeKnowWhatYouDid protest did what institutions refuse to do: It took action. While the methods and goals of the protest have been questioned by the student body, it effectively called out alleged perpetrators and demanded accountability from organizations.
