Like all Snapchats, we're not exactly sure what's happening (there's some sort of disco flashing lights), but we do know this heart-pounding dance track is for Ariana's upcoming albumMoonlight jamis full sus "Y'all wait until @brunomars learns he can add more than one pic in a tweet," a fan account tweeted with an Elmo meme that is supposed to convey the phrase "mind blown." jamis full sus and gender non-conforming people that were in various different parts of their process. And at least some of them were people who were not out yet, had been still in the place of sort of confusion and denial that I spent a long time in, and that felt empowered by me sharing my story to give them space to unfold in their truths as well. I am a person that believes the world needs to change a lot, I think this world is really desperately in need of healing. My hope is that over time I can help in that process. For me, my ability to come out and live my trans truth is a result of my own process of healing. And music had been a big part of that process of healing. My hope is that I can carry that forward.Instagram contentView on InstagramTV jamis full sus I think that definitely connects back to me hearing Hendrix for the first time because I had that experience of hearing that music for the first time and it really touching something deep inside me, and then when I started to talk, to other people who were into music, about it I kind of quickly understood that what it touched if me was different than what it touched in them. And what was getting touched in me was that something about the way that that music unfolded and told its story, made me feel very at peace with myself. When I was in the sort-of world that that music created, I felt ok about who I was and who I was made sense. And I think that if I was to analyze that, I think that to some degree that Jimi Hendrix's music has a very high degree of abstraction because of its use of really complex timbral compositional devices, and you know a number of other things. So that in that plain of abstraction that that music created I was able to experience fluidity around gender that was more consistent with what my experience was. I definitely think that that's a big part of the music that I’ve created is to try to use sound as a way of creating a landscape. And so making music I think, for me was a way to stay in that landscape. So when I started to take music more seriously what became meaningful for me was to create that for other people… a sonic landscape in which whatever was going on for somebody could be given space and room and a place to unpack itself, and be itself.TV jamis full sus
