"When I was 8, I recorded a demo and I sent it to Jeff Pringle, who is my manager now. Before I recorded the demo, my mom and me had asked him to manage me and he said, 'I'm not managing an 8-year-old. Are you crazy?' So we sent him the demo asking him what direction we should be going in as far as other managers, who we needed to be in contact with — just starting from square one on our own. Once he heard my music, he contacted us and said, 'You don't need to go anywhere else. I'll manage her.'
