Camila discusses her solo career and touches on the hurt that she felt when Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jaureguiperformed at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards swagtron eb11 This is my second EP ever. This one is definitely more involved because I had other people work on it with me. My first EP was entirely self-produced, self-recorded in my bedroom. It was mixed, but that's the only other contribution someone else had. This is a more I guess sophisticated EP that I was actually at a recording studio, not in my bedroom.TV: swagtron eb11 The crazy thing about it though is I don't remember anything. I was about to turn 16 and my parents got me this car. I woke up and I was like, "What happened to my car?" They were like, "No. No. Your car's fine." They were like, "You jumped in front of a car." That was when I was 15 and I left a voicemail on my friend's phone. I was, like, crying. Like, crying in the bushes. I was like, "I have no friends. No one likes me." It was the angstiest time of my life. My parents had put me on antidepressants...But, yeah, I still have a metal rod in my leg. When the seasons change or when I walk upstairs I still feel it and I'm reminded of it. That's also a positive thing because I would never imagine that I'd be living in New York and doing music full-time. It's almost like if things were reversed and I wasn't here, it's like, why not do everything you can now? Because the alternative is just doing nothing.TV: swagtron eb11 a gorgeous romantic drama written and directed by Stella Meghie (whom Issa first met when Meghie directed the "Fresh Like" episode ofInsecurein 2018) that came out in February.
