"Edgecombe" was also not only a directing challenge, but I took on the editor's role in post. I actually did a Premiere Pro workshop in Brooklyn, had a refresher, and then dived into the edit. It was a really great experience in terms of feeling empowered, to create the structure for the story. There's so many versions of this film that I've made, but I think it's a really great experience of taking what was in my mind and putting it in the timeline and making that work. It was a really intuitive program too, so I felt like it was really accessible for me, as someone who didn't necessarily strongly identify as an editor-director but felt like it was a challenge that I wanted to take on with this project as well.TV merida reacto It's been really amazing. Watching people watch your films is such an important experience. It's been really nice to have regional diversity, in terms of where the film has been shown. I showed the film at Eastern Star Baptist Church, the church that's in the film. That was the most important audience because it was the folks that were in the project from the beginning.
