Think about the moms who raise their children all alone, and what it’s like to be a child who doesn’t fully comprehend why their father is gone. As someone who’s been through it, it’s hard, man! I used to think my dad didn’t want to be a part of my life. I felt that he made a choice, and that I was purposefully neglected. That sparked so many questions that ultimately went unanswered because — which I think is because my mom thought that the truth would hurt me even more.
