The crazy thing about it though is I don't remember anything. I was about to turn 16 and my parents got me this car. I woke up and I was like, "What happened to my car?" They were like, "No. No. Your car's fine." They were like, "You jumped in front of a car." That was when I was 15 and I left a voicemail on my friend's phone. I was, like, crying. Like, crying in the bushes. I was like, "I have no friends. No one likes me." It was the angstiest time of my life. My parents had put me on antidepressants...But, yeah, I still have a metal rod in my leg. When the seasons change or when I walk upstairs I still feel it and I'm reminded of it. That's also a positive thing because I would never imagine that I'd be living in New York and doing music full-time. It's almost like if things were reversed and I wasn't here, it's like, why not do everything you can now?
