The county and the city have made addressing the needs of young people and families who are actively experiencing homelessness a priority. But the problem is that street homelessness, like living in a tent, or even living in a car to a lesser degree, are only the most visible ways in which people experience homelessness and housing insecurity. Often, it looks really different and wouldn’t even be considered “homelessness.” If a young person is homeless, often what they’re doing is living with a cousin or with a friend, or they’re couch-surfing and trying to find a place where they can live long-term. It can mean spending some nights in a car and some nights in a shelter and some nights in a home. It doesn’t look like a family living in a tent. That kind of homelessness is incredibly widespread, but it’s invisible. ms150 ride you serenaded your (maybe?) ex-girlfriend with at a restaurant.
