The Gender Critical Support Board was founded in part by an anonymous internet user who goes by the name Gender Critical Dad or GCDad. Gender Critical Dad is active in gender-critical spaces on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, on his own blog, and, of course, on the comment board he founded. Gender Critical Dad’s first blog post, written in 2016, tells a story that becomes familiar after spending time in these spaces. He writes about how his daughter identified as bisexual, cut her hair, began dressing more masculine, began to wear a chest binder, then one evening came out to her parents as transgender.
