We align on her scope of work, our workflow, and business objectives for Ami Colé. While I am in the meeting, I hear the doorbell ring. Itâs DHL, delivering a time-sensitive formula (the production batch from our factory in Italy). As the head of product development, I am responsible for looking at this production batch to assure this new scaled-up formula is exactly what we approved in the pilot phase. The pilot phase is produced by hand by lab technicians, while the bulk production is produced with larger, commercial equipment â no hands. Itâs easy for things like smell, color, and consistency to change. So I am responsible for making sure the quality and color shades are correct before we head to the commercial stage.
