We couldnât canvass because we didnât want to send volunteers or staff into apartment buildings during [the pandemic], so we encouraged people who lived in apartment buildings to reach out to neighbors they knew and to drop off literature in their buildings or on their floors with handwritten Post-It notes, saying, âHi, Iâm your neighbor and I believe in this candidate. I think youâll like her. Please take a look.â Many people did this, and we dropped off thousands of pieces of lit this way, so we were still able to have that kind of direct contact without actually having contact.
