But Shamirâs shining has a glow and warmth at its core, one that extends to the world around him. His love of art in general is evident. He âmanages a bandâ in Philadelphia now, and uses the same enthusiasm to gush about his favorite female comedians that he does for his own music. In interviews and on social media, heâs made it clear that he doesnât identify as any specific gender, and that he doesnât care about the pronouns used to describe him.
