Minority groups already feel as if their experiences are trivialized enough, and with allies constantly overstepping, advocation gets frustrating. A white person can make the same argument as a PoC and receive more recognition for it, all because they’re making it from a position of privilege. Too often it feels as if no one hears what marginalized groups are saying unless it comes from the mouth of an ally — people hear our grievances but they don’t hear us.
