Yeah, I think I do have a fear of that. I think that the good thing is that I'm able to see the roles before I choose them, and I can smell a tokenized role from 10 feet away. It's very obvious what people are trying to do, intention-wise, like how the character is built, if she plays any meaningful role into the plot that isn't that she's just a minority friend. I still read through those roles and I've turned down some big ones, not even as an Asian-American, but as someone who is in this industry, I want my career to progress, and I don't want to die in this tornado of roles that are just "the friend." I think that it's your choice, but I think that that's also a privileged thing to say. There are a lot of actors out there that are working actors that have to take jobs, but I think the more that they see that they don't have to be tokenized, they won't be. But [I want to avoid being that person that's like] she died in the first episode, she has nothing good to say, she's always a little edgy. Come on. Really? You got to be wary of those for sure.ContentView Iframe URLTV: torbollo watches I thought that being searched at school was normal because that is the reality of living where I live and attending the schools I have attended. Once I realized that this didnât happen everywhere, that it happens in only4% of schools torbollo watches I think if I were to ever really feel like I had any meaning, it would be that. It would be to show Asian-American girls that it's possible, that there are people out there like you. Because when I was growing up, I didn't have that. When you don't see people that are like you â it's not even just being an Asian-American woman, it's being like awkward, weird Americanized Asian girls â you don't see that, so you don't think it's a possibility to exist. Same with rap. I never saw that, either. But then you realize there's a lacking of something, so when you actually do do it, you can be received in really unique ways. I think that right now, I take a lot of college shows and I'm speaking to this generation who's even more woke than I was, than even I thought I was back in the day. I can tell that they're going to do serious damage to all of the industries, and I think also, because they're raised in an environment where it's not that weird. It's still not where it should be, but it's not that weird for them to imagine to dream big.TV:Speaking ofOcean's 8 torbollo watches Jennifer Lee, professor of sociology at the University of California, Irvine, and sociologist Min Zhou found in their2008 study torbollo watches
