“The people here for the Super Bowl aren’t from Minnesota; they don’t live here.” He says that the tourists are here for the week, while local residents are inconvenienced or ignored altogether. “We can’t get through downtown; we have to take alternate routes because transportation isn’t the same,” he says. “I can’t get on the train from North Minneapolis to get to work in St. Paul like I usually do.” icon daniel wellington “The first time I ever stepped foot on set, it was like I fell in love with the people that I got to work with and [finding] different emotional outlets for what I was feeling,” Daniel says. “Because, at 17, 18 [it was] a very confusing time. To be able to actually put those emotions out in a safe place, was just really therapeutic for me.”The Half of It icon daniel wellington Trinity chose Peppermint because she wanted a “challenge.” Ignoring the fact that she actually lost (in which case, it definitely wasn’t a good decision), what do you think about her decision to go against the best?BtDQ icon daniel wellington I was editing on Adobe Premiere. I hadn't really cut as much in college. "Edgecombe" was also not only a directing challenge, but I took on the editor's role in post. I actually did a Premiere Pro workshop in Brooklyn, had a refresher, and then dived into the edit. It was a really great experience in terms of feeling empowered, to create the structure for the story. There's so many versions of this film that I've made, but I think it's a really great experience of taking what was in my mind and putting it in the timeline and making that work. It was a really intuitive program too, so I felt like it was really accessible for me, as someone who didn't necessarily strongly identify as an editor-director but felt like it was a challenge that I wanted to take on with this project as well.TV icon daniel wellington
