Yep, in fact, much of the episode was dedicated to watching scientists calculate a shark's swim speed, which is difficult considering sharks don't really swim in straight lines. After determining the shark swims 100 meters in 36.1 seconds, Michael, wearing a special wetsuit and fin, was challenged to beat the creature in a race against time, not an actual shark.
