"I love it here. This feels like my home. When I began pursuing music as a career I didn’t have that much support. I ended up running away to China for six months because I couldn’t do what my parents wanted me to, which was study business and go to university. I gave it a go but it really wasn’t for me. So I left the country and I suppose—it’s cliche to say —but I found myself. I discovered a lot of things about myself that I never knew. When I went back home I had the courage to record my first demo and really pour my soul into everything I tried. I was grateful to perform and record with incredible musicians.
