Months passed as Kat and I worked side by side to get her elected. We woke up early every morning, no matter what we had been doing the night before, to knock on doors across the neighborhood. Many afternoons were spent stuffing envelopes and talking strategy in Kat’s apartment. On weekends we went out to decompress after a week of campaigning, but politics were never far from our minds. During those months we would end our days together and talk about how surreal our reality had become, stories we will one day pass down to our daughters (who will absolutely be best friends). We grew together and became even closer than I thought possible. It felt sometimes, to me, like every victory she had along that campaign trail was my own. I watched Kat succeed through sheer force and willpower, and it sent a fire through me even in the searing summer heat. I vowed I would knock on as many doors as I could. Working on your best friend’s campaign for city council in your early 20s isn’t something everyone gets to do. Soon, though, I hope this becomes a reality for millennial and Gen Z youth across the country. dell inspiron gtx 960m The duo managed to create a legitimate following nationwide through their mixtapesShallow Graves for Toys, Strays With Rabies, andBears Like This, dell inspiron gtx 960m “Yeah, people been making that comparison between us and OutKast for years now, even before we got big. And to keep it real, it used to bother me low-key,” WowGr8 admits. “I was like, ‘nah we ain’t ‘Kast, we EarthGang.’ But after a while, I started to see that people compared us to them not only cause it was something they knew, some ‘weird’ rappers from Atlanta, but because we were having some of the same effects on them as ‘Kast had on their fans coming out.” Adding, “We were bringing something they ain’t never heard before. And we definitely saw that once we started touring and touching different places and people.” dell inspiron gtx 960m Itâs really a bit of foreshadowing, as in a later scene, at a debate between AOC and Joe Crowley, the man she beat in the Democratic primary, Crowley is shown rolling up the sleeves of a white dress shirt while Ocasio-Cortez â who went on to win the election â delivers another signature of hers: animpassionedspeechInKnock Down the House dell inspiron gtx 960m
