The pair do some researching and discover that the bug in question is apparently a Metoecus Paradoxus, AKA awasp nest beetle, than marches in our oppressively capitalistic society. I attended the march that took place at Minnesota’s state capital that day, led by a cohort of female politicians, including Ilhan Omar, who had just been elected to Minnesota’s state House of Representatives. I was living in Minneapolis at the time, and I covered the Minnesota march, which drew a crowd of more than 90,000 people, for Rewire.org, a local, millennial-geared PBS affiliate that’s now defunct. I interviewed at least a dozen women and I framed my article and accompanying photo essay around a central question:What Do They Plan to Do Next?
