After realizing his sound is much deeper than a one-man show, he decided to take a risk and switch things up a bit. "I was always doing things under my proper name—Brandon Sheer—but then I started making music that sounded so much like a band that I wanted to go under a different name," he tells us. "I ended up going up with SHEARE—my last name spelled differently. I actually hated it initially, but when I wrote it on paper I was like, 'Oh, that's not bad.' It's so difficult to come up with a name.
