We get to see a little bit more of her vulnerability and what's actually going on, especially in that tree house scene in the second movie with Lara Jean. I thought the relationship between Gen and Lara Jean was so special. Growing up, I feel like as young women we kind of got the message that girls should be played against each other, like we're always in some sort of competition. But it's really that tree house scene... I just imagine if I was the mean girl, how influential that would be for me. I think Gen has a lot of internal work to do, and I think that will come with time as she experiences new people and situations and starts her healing process.
